Notes of 100 and 200 Euros Europe Series

As we posted a few months ago, tomorrow, May 28, the new 100 and 200 Euro notes belonging to the Europa Series will be put into circulation.

Europa Series

The Europa Series is the new family of Euro notes that began to be issued in 2013 with the introduction of the new 5 Euro note. Since then the Central Bank has been issuing new notes of all denominations progressively until reaching the 100 and 200 ones.

This new series will have, therefore, notes of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 Euros. It will not exist a 500 Euros note of this serie. But all the notes of the previous series will remain valid indefinitely including the previous 500 Euros one.

Security measures

The main difference that characterizes these notes of the new series is the side band that crosses the note from top to bottom with a hologram and a transparent window through which you can see the portrait of Europe.
