The best beaches in Benidorm
The beaches of Benidorm are well-known throughout the world because of all the tourists who come from other countries to the city, it is the city for tourism of excellence in Spain and especially on the Costa Blanca. Today we want to devote a space on our blog to the wonderful beaches of the city.
On the Benidorm coast you can find several different types of beaches, suitable for all tastes:
Levante Beach
The most recognized of Benidorm and the busiest is without doubt. It is a fine, white sandy beach, 2 km in length by about 40 metres wide. It is easily accessible (has access for disabled), its located in the area of Rincon de Loix, on Alcoi and Madrid avenues.
This beach receives swimmers who enjoy sunbathing comfortably in the sand, also receives athletes who have fun with cable water ski which was the very first in Spain. Also on Levante beach you can find a multitude of restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, hotels,… ideal to spend the day and complete your beach experience.
Poniente Beach
If you like the fine, white sand beach but you prefer a less crowded in a quieter area of Benidorm, then Poniente beach is your beach, its also in a commercial area, full of bars and restaurants but with a more relaxed atmosphere.
It is a beach with more than 3 km in length, with children's areas, tracks of volleyball, perfect to spend a day with the family or with friends. Its renewed and picturesque walk is highly recommended for jogging, skating or biking (it has a bike lane). You will find it at Armada Española and Vicente Llorca Alos avenues.
If you prefer another type of beaches more intimate then we recommend la Cala tio ximo, Almadrava or Mal Pas.
The Cala Mal Pas
Mal Pas Cove is just the beach that separates the Levante beach from Poniente beach, its affixed to the port of Benidorm and is right at the foot of the Castle (your view from the looking point of the castle is one of the most emblematic of the city). It is a small beach, 120 meters in length, white sand and very calm waters.
Cala del Tio Ximo
The cala Tio Ximo is a small beach about 70 metres long with a 6 metres wide approximately has a mix of sand and stones are characterized above all by its crystal clear waters. This in the Rincón de Loix, just at the foot of Sierra Helada. In spite of having reduced dimensions the cala counts with sun beds and umbrellas. After a good dip, for the lovers of trekking, we suggest you try the route that leads you to the cross of Benidorm, to enjoy one of the best views of Benidorm.
Cala Almadraba
The cala Almadraba, close to the Cala del Tio Ximo, it is a cove of similar dimensions. You can access it in car and like in La cala Tio Ximo you can also rent sunbeds or umbrellas in high season.
Remember, Eurochange has four exchange offices which are located here.
